Police appeal for information
A boundary fence was cut open in St Mark's on Saturday afternoon.
It happened at a field which borders the Tosaby Road, between 1pm and 5.30pm.
The police say it could have resulted in sheep and lambs getting on to the road and being a danger to motorists on what is a fast stretch.
The damage was discovered by the farmer before any animals could escape, but the matter has caused a great deal of frustration, unnecessary cost and undue pressure on what is a busy time of the year for farmers.
Anybody with information is asked to contact Castletown Police Station on 822222.
