Fewer flights cancelled at Ronaldsway Airport

Air traveller numbers also up at Island port

One in 30 flights operating through Ronaldsway Airport were cancelled during September.

According to the latest figures issued by the Civil Aviation Authority, of the 792 services scheduled in and out of the Isle of Man, 26 failed to take off.

The total number is an improvement on earlier in the year.

In May, 1 in 14 flights never made it to the skies.

Meanwhile, a total of 48,425 passengers flew during September, an increase of 95% on the same period during the previous year.

Around half of the overall traffic was either to or from Liverpool or London Gatwick.
