Film highlights response to missing child alerts

 

Care organisation St Christopher's has brought a film project aimed at reducing the number of youngsters who go missing, to the Isle of Man. 

Last year there were more than 450 missing person reports in the Island, the majority involving looked-after children.

St Christopher Fellowship is a charity for vulnerable young people, which operates care homes in the Isle of Man.

It's used the Island as the setting for a film highlighting the dangers missing young people expose themselves to and the costs involved in looking for them.

That film has been partly shot at Manx Radio, to show how an alert is broadcast on the news.

Rob Adlem from the charity says it will be shown to youngsters in care:
