On Air The Afternoon Show Alex Brindley | 3:00pm - 5:30pm

Final day's racing of TT 2019

Hopes weather will hold for Senior

TT fans both on and off-Island will be hoping to see a fitting finale to this year's festival this morning, with the centrepiece six-lap Dunlop Senior TT scheduled to get going at 10 o'clock.

It's hoped roads around the Mountain Course will be closed by 9:30am with the Barrule Park to Bungalow section shutting at 7:45, extended to the Creg ny Baa by 8am.

However, there is a yellow weather warning in place for heavy rain from midday, which the Met Office says could lead to areas of localised flooding and standing water.

This time last year, Peter Hickman produced a stunning performance to win the 2018 Senior, shattering the outright lap record in the process.

The Smiths Racing BMW man has been the star of this meeting, too - with three wins to his name already - and will be looking to add to that tally with the big one today.

Roads will open no later than 3:30 this afternoon, except the mountain section which will open at 4:30.

The Full revised schedule looks like this:

07.45:  Roads close Barrule Park Ramsey to Bungalow
08.00:  Roads closed Bungalow to Creg Ny baa
09.30:  Roads closed around the course
10.00:  Dunlop Senior TT (6 LAPS)
15.30:  Roads open no later than 15.30 except Mountain section
16.30:  Roads open around the course
