MT boss says compromise over infrastructure is needed
There has to be a compromise to balance the Isle of Man’s need for better internet with the visual impact of the infrastructure needed.
It's according to Manx Telecom which is aiming to connect 99% of premises on the Island to fibre by 2024.
Over 42% of properties have been reached so far, but the rollout hasn’t been without incident.
An attempt to connect a residential estate in Colby, using telegraph poles, was met with public outrage and saw the company apologise for not communicating effectively.
