Driver was trapped due to injuries sustained in the collision
Fire crews were called out to a single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a HGV in the Eairy area this afternoon (12 March).
One fire appliance and one emergency rescue vehicle responded to the incident, along with the duty officer, police and ambulance service.
The call came in at 12:36pm.
On arrival, crews found the vehicle had left the roadway and entered a roadside ditch.
The driver was trapped due to injuries sustained in the collision.
A door removal was undertaken to 'enable the safe extrication of the casualty'.
Crews remained in attendance for approximately one hour.
