First candidate declares in Glenfaba

David Talbot will bid for seat vacant after David Anderson's elevation to LegCo

A finance director and Patrick commissioner has become the first candidate to declare in Glenfaba ahead of a House of Keys by-election in the constituency.

David Talbot will bid for the seat made vacant following David Anderson’s elevation to the Legislative Council last month.

Mr Talbot, who has lived with his wife in Dalby for the last 40 years, is the founder of Connect2Charity in the Island, chairman of the Western Housing Group and chairs a working group seeking to establish a Manx credit union.

He was a candidate in the General Election in Michael in 2011.

Nominations for by-elections in both Glenfaba and Peel close three weeks today (August 10).
