Session added, after yesterday's cancellation

An additional TT quaifying session is to be held this afternoon, following poor weather around the Mountain Course yesterday.

It meant the opening practice of the 2019 festival was unable to go ahead.

Roads around the course will begin closing at 11.45am, with the first bikes getting away from the Grandstand at 1.30pm.

If all goes to schedule, newcomers, Lightweights, Supersport machines and sidecars will all get laps in.

Roads will reopen no later than 6.30pm.

The planned schedule is as follows:

11.45: Mountain closes Barrule Park Ramsey to Bungalow
12.00: Mountain closes Bungalow to Creg-Ny-Baa
13.00: All roads closed
13.30: Solo Newcomers’ speed controlled lap
13.35: Sidecar Newcomers' speed controlled lap
13.50: Start Supersport / Lightweight Practice
17.30: Roads open except Mountain section
18.30: All roads open

There will be live coverage of the session on Isle of Man TT Radio, fuelled by Monster Energy on Manx Radio's AM1368 frequency, 87.9 FM in Douglas, 100.6 FM in the north of the Island and online at iomttraces.com.
