Work to improve drainage and resurface highway
A section of the Mountain Road is due to close later this morning for drainage works.
The southern section of the road between Brandywell and the Creg ny Baa will close from 9.30am, and is expected to reopen on Monday 20 October.
The Department of Infrastructure says the work has come at the request of TT organisers ACU Events Limited.
New culverts will be installed at Kate's Cottage and Keppel Gate followed by a full resurfacing of the carriageway.
Access to businesses in the area will be maintained.
