And a return to 230p rate
Braddan Parish Commissioners has announced it will be introducing a fixed refuse collection charge.
The £82 fee per household aims to encourage residents to put less in their bin and make more use of existing kerbside and green waste recycling services.
This is in addition to a 2.61 per cent rate increase - from 224 pence to 230 pence in the pound.
Chair Andrew Jessopp said recycling more will reduce the current disposal costs at the Energy from Waste Plant meaning parishioners can have a 'direct influence on future refuse costs'.
