Flybe has announced it’s sticking with the Isle of Man’s Liverpool route – committing itself to maintaining a three-times-a-day service.
The airline has today (15 Jan) announced its summer programme, due to begin on March 30, will retain the service to and from Liverpool, although with fewer flights on some weekdays than at present.
Flybe is to continue operating the Island's patient transfer service to Liverpool.
At weekends it's understood there will be a slightly reduced service, with two rotations between the Isle of Man and Liverpool on both Saturday and Sunday.
Flybe has also confirmed it will continue serving its routes to Manchester and Birmingham and will increase frequency of its summer flights to and from Manchester.
Altogether Flybe will offer 57 flights a week from the Isle of Man during the summer.
Confirmation of the continued services ends speculation one or more of the three routes might be dropped altogether, after the airline said in November it would shut its base at Ronaldsway in spring, with the loss of up to 49 jobs.
Meanwhile British Airways has confirmed it will fly three times daily to London City from the Isle of Man, at the start of its summer season from 30 March.
In December David Cretney re assured the Manx business community government had secured an increase in frequency from just one flight to the capital per day.
There will also be one BA flight from Ronaldsway on Saturday and two on Sunday.
