FoM visitor numbers up

60,000+ bikers roll over in 2017

More than 16,000 fans visited the Island for the Festival of Motorcycling this year.

That's a 2.9% increase on last year's figure, and 80% more than the number recorded by the first survey in 2009.

The total expenditure by these visitors is estimated to be around £10million, with three quarters of guests coming from England.

It follows news that visitors to the TT increased by 6.2% this year, with 45,054 fans attending the 2017 festival.
