Island rallies round to help those in need
Volunteers for the Isle of Man Food Bank are busy today, sorting and distributing the large number of items donated to its Christmas campaign.
The 'Reverse Advent Calender', which has encouraged people to pick up an item a day during December to give to the charity, has been an overwhelming success.
The Food Bank is still keen to receive more, though, if you have anything to give.
Speaking at the Sea Cadets' hall in Tromode earlier today, the charity's director, Neal Mellon, said there was plenty of work still to do:
Local mobile catering company Filbey's to call it a day
Ramsey Rocks event cancelled
MWT plans to plant almost 10,000 trees
Duck off: Chinese takeaway on the hunt for bigger ducks
