Teresa Cope left the Island's healthcare provider last month
The former chief executive of Manx Care is to take charge of the health service in Guernsey.
Teresa Cope will join the States of Guernsey as interim chief officer for health and social care next month for a period of 12 months.
Ms Cope stepped down from her role with Manx Care at the end of June after just over five years in the position.
On her new role, she said: "Public service has been at the heart of my career, and I am excited by the opportunity to work with the Committee for Health & Social Care and colleagues delivering the wide range of health and care services the community relies upon.
"I am keen to get started, to listen and learn, and to help provide strong and stable leadership during this important period."
Manx Care's Medical Director Chris Stockport replaced Ms Cope as chief executive on an interim basis.
