Former Tory leader helps Hospice

£10,000 a day - that’s what it costs to run the Island’s Hospice.

And a senior Tory politician has helped raise money for what he calls its vital work.

Former Conservative party leader Michael Howard shared political memories at the Mount Murray Hotel on Saturday night.

But he also stressed the importance of another of his passions, the hospice movement, in his role as
chairman of UK charity, Help the Hospices.
