A former clerk of Tynwald has pleaded guilty to a charge of gross indecency with a person under the age of 16.
Thomas St John Neville Bates will be sentenced on Tuesday, 23 April, and has been released on bail.
He entered not guilty pleas to three further charges - two counts of possessing indecent images of a child and one of indecent assault on a person under the age of 16.
He will not stand trial on these matters, as the prosecution is offering no further evidence on them.
A social enquiry report will be prepared before he is sentenced by an off-Island panel Deemster.
