Vouchers sent out to eligible parents
Those who usually get free meals at school will continue to be compensated during lockdown while education establishments are closed.
First introduced in April 2020, the Free School Meal Voucher Scheme sees eligible parents receive a one-off voucher, equivalent in value to 15 free school meals, to cover the three-week period.
For primary school children, each voucher is worth £35, and it's £44 for each secondary school student.
The vouchers were posted last week and can be used at any Shoprite or Co-op store until 31 January, 2021.
