Fundraiser for TT rider Maria Costello surpasses £220k

Motorsport legend is currently paralysed after breaking her back

A fundraiser for TT rider Maria Costello MBE has surpassed £220,000. 

The money donated so far is currently at £223,607 (at time of writing) with a current target of £250,000.

The Women's motorsport legend crashed at this year's TT alongside her teammate Shaun Parker.

She is currently paralysed from T5/T6 down after breaking her back.

Maria also suffered a broken arm, multiple broken ribs, a grade-four large liver laceration, broken nose and eye socket, lacerations between her eyes and a broken sternum.

Meanwhile, Shaun who suffered a collapsed lung, blurred vision and broken bones including three ribs and his right foot also has a fundraiser

His is currently at £11,000 (at time of writing) with a current target of £12,000.
