Manx veteran was killed while working to disable an explosive device in Ukraine
An appeal to raise enough money to repatriate a Manx veteran, who was killed while working as a bomb disposal expert in Ukraine, has already raised more than £23,000 - surpassing its target of £15,000.
Chris Garrett from Peel died earlier this week while working to disable an explosive device in the country.
He'd been there for Prevail Together - a humanitarian charity he helped to found.
The GoFundMe is hoping to raise 20,000 US dollars (or £15,000) to cover his repatriation and funeral expenses.
Any additional funding will go towards longer term support for his partner Courtney and their young daughter.
