More than £100K raised for 'underfunded' charity
It’s hoped a new unofficial world record – for the largest ever T-Rex race – will be set this weekend.
Expedition Limitless is hosting its final fundraiser of the year in aid of Manx Mencap – a ‘T-Rex Thunder Run’ on Saturday (14 September).
The group has already raised more than £100,000 for the organisation which works to improve opportunities for those with learning disabilities.
Event organiser Martin Malone told Manx Radio the money raised will be life-changing for the charity and the people it helps:
The 2.5K ‘T-Rex Thunder Run’ will take place on Douglas Promenade at 2pm.
It’s hoped 500 people will take part; the entry fee includes an inflatable T-Rex suit to keep.
The last day to register is Thursday (12 September) – you can do so here.
