Tyneside man died on his journey to TT 2017
A funeral's taken place for a 'passionate' bike fan who was killed on the way to this year's TT festival.
Lee Gibson was traveling from his home in Tyneside to catch the ferry when he came off his BMW motorbike on Tuesday, 6 June.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It's believed a 'freak gust of wind' caused the crash.
Mourners at South Shields Crematorium this week heard the 30 year-old - known as 'Gippa' to friends - lived a 'rich life', and had a 'natural passion' for engines.
A fundraising page set up in Lee's memory has made more than £11,000 since it was established a fortnight ago.
