Protection and promotion under European Council charter
Manx Gaelic is set to be further protected and promoted in what's being described as a 'huge boost' for the language.
Part three of the Council of Europe's Charter for Regional or Minority Languages will now apply here.
It's in recognition of the resurgence of the language and the work of institutions like Yn Bunscoill Ghaelgagh, Mooinjer Veggey and the Manx Language Unit.
