CURA discusses 'extremely volatile international markets'
The Island's utilities regulator - whilst deciding if new tariffs can be set - says it encourages Manx Gas to make efficiencies.
Next month the cost of gas will go up by a further 43.9 percent - it follows a 58 percent increase applied earlier this year.
It's due to a significant rise in wholesale costs.
All price hikes are reviewed by the Communications and Utilities Regulatory Authority to make sure Manx Gas is charging a price that reflects the cost of supplying it.
'It's impossible to tell at this point whether there'll be any further adjustments or increases needed to the tariff.'
