Follows 'movements' in wholesale market, CURA says
The price we pay for gas is to be reviewed.
The Island's regulator (CURA) says it believes, due in part to recent price movements on the wholesale gas commodity market, a reduction may be warranted.
Tariffs were last reviewed in December and at that stage, the Authority says, forward commodity prices for 2023 were significantly higher than they are now.
It says it hopes to complete the review as quickly as possible, but adds it does not necessarily mean we'll see a change in tariff.
CURA says 'there are a number of issues to be considered as part of the review that could impact on such a decision.'
