Good catches reported in queenie fishery

Area off Douglas attracting boats

There has been a good start to the queenie fishery, despite conditions not being ideal.

Its reported an area off Douglas is attracting the boats.

The Manx government has cut the quota for this season by forty per cent, after a survey indicated a big fall in stocks.

This has been questioned after a more extensive survey, organised by the Manx fishing industry, seemed to show stocks were, in fact, holding up.
