Chair of IOMVCC speaks after suspension of future festivals
The wheels of government don't turn fast enough to help with the Festival of Jurby.
That's the belief of the Chair of the IOM Vintage Motorcycling Club.
Rupert Murden was speaking after it was announced that the committee had decided to suspend future festivals indefinitely, as they had become too demanding for a small team of volunteers to organise.
A meeting between the IOMVCC and the Department for Enterprise is still scheduled for next month - but Mr Murden says they were in the same situation two years ago when they met with government to seek help - and that came to nothing.
