Howard Quayle was one of three government representatives giving oral evidence to the Economic Policy Review Committee yesterday afternoon (Mon 26) in the Legislative Council Chamber.
The Island must comply with EU data protection regulations by late May, to comply with Moneyval regulations, and must comply with EU tax regulations to avoid being 'blacklisted' in December 2018.
Mr Quayle says the need to satisfy such international rules is at the forefront of government's attentions this year.
