Announcement made at Government Conference
The Manx Government will aim to save at least £10 million in next year's budget.
The announcement was made by Chief Minister Alfred Cannan in his opening remarks at the Government Conference at the Comis Hotel today.
He told delegates it was important for the Island's people to feel safe - physically, environmentally, fiscally and economically.
Mr Cannan also spoke of the risk to government’s medium term financial plan due to significant and repeated overspends on health and social care services:
DoI 'committed' to reaching agreement with bus drivers
Fluoride varnish programme rolled out in Island schools in bid to reduce levels of tooth decay in children
Tynwald 'in a good place' for gender balance compared to other jurisdictions
