Noble's coffee shop shows £334K profit
Government Catering Services made a net loss of £627,000 in the last financial year (2015/16).
The figure was revealed in a House of Keys question for written reply from North Douglas MHK David Ashford.
Noble's hospital kitchen and staff restaurant recorded the biggest deficits, of £377,000 and £364,000 respectively.
Government Office canteen had an overspend of £105,000 against a surplus set in the budget targets, meaning the canteen lost £6,000 in 2015/16
Areas making a surplus were Ramsey Cottage Hospital's kitchen (£75,000) and Noble's coffee shop (£334,000).
Health and Social Care Minister Kate Beecroft said there were close links between the coffee shop and staff restaurant at Noble's, so it's likely the surplus at the former and deficit at the latter were likely to be overstated.
