New housing board chair urges gov't to tap in to local authorities' experience
Government needs to be listening to local authorities on housing issues rather than ignoring them.
That's the view of the newly-appointed chair of the Housing and Communities Board David Ashford.
Tynwald is due to consider proposals to form a housing association this month, with the Department of Infrastructure seeking views from the local authorities.
Mr Ashford says there's a lot to be learnt from the local government boards:
Commissioner will not investigate legal aid complaint
Coastguard and fire crews rescue boy stuck on a cliff
"It's just not sustainable to continue"
How big a priority are green issues in the 2026 General Election?
