Groudle and horse trams among festival highlights

Heritage railway marks 125th anniversary

An Island railway officially marks its 125th anniversary on Saturday.

Groudle Glen Railway is running services throughout the day, including those operated by the original locomotives Sea Lion and Polar Bear, which is visiting from the Amberley Museum in West Sussex.

It’s among a range of attractions on day four of the Manx Heritage Transport Festival.

Other highlights include a mixed gauge extravaganza at Douglas station, the running of the Great Laxey Mine Railway and a special evening horse tram service.
