A Manx version of iconic children's book The Gruffalo is being launched today.
Written by Julia Donaldson, it's the story of a quick-witted mouse, who journeys through a forest avoiding predators, before coming face to face with the hideous - but loveable - Gruffalo!
The book's sold three-and-a-half million copies worldwide and has been translated into more than 20 languages - which now include Manx Gaelic.
The venture's been supported by Manx Heritage Foundation and Lloyds TSB and the book, which includes a CD telling the story in Manx, will be launched by pupils at the Bunschooil in St John's this morning.
Manx Language Officer Adrian Cain hopes more titles will appear in Manx in future:
RPU will be 'out in force' to stop drink and drug drivers
Ramsey Commissioners to spend more than £8k on deckchairs and storage unit
How to spot the signs of domestic and elder abuse this Christmas
Police appeal to parents after party of up to 50 young people 'becomes an issue'
