Hydraulic tower has been empty for 15 years
Members of the public had the chance to look inside a unique building which has been empty for around 15 years.
Local historian Charles Guard provided tours of the hydraulic tower on South Quay over the weekend.
The facility has been surplus to requirements since the current lifting bridge opened in 1999.
Despite it no longer being in use, Mr Guard says the building isn't suitable for conversion:
