High pass rates reflect 'strong education system'

Over 66% of students attain level two passes at GCSE

High pass rates for students shows how strong the education system on the Isle of Man is, according to a senior education official.

More than two thirds of students attained level two passes in GSCE maths and English, and last week 98.4 per cent of A-Level students left with qualifications.

Joel Smith is the Schools Improvement Adviser.

He says the Department of Education won't rest on their laurels, despite the success of students in Manx schools.
