High winds cause disruption for ferry crossings

Liverpool crossing this evening put back several hours

High winds in the Irish Sea are causing some disruption to sailings today.

The Steam Packet says the scheduled 2.15pm return crossing from Heysham will leave 45 minutes early at 1.30 ahead of the forecast bad weather.

The last check-in time for the sailing is 1pm.

Meanwhile, the 7.15 pm crossing of the Manannan from Liverpool has been put back to 11pm.

Passengers should check-in not later than 10.30pm
