Hopes 90% of eligible adults will receive booster jab by mid-January

Rollout sped-up in light of Omicron

It's hoped 90 per cent of eligible adults will have received their Covid booster vaccine by mid-January.

Clinics for younger people this weekend have been cancelled in order to get more people in older age groups jabbed.

Kathryn Magson, interim CEO of the Department of Health and Social Care, says it's added pressure for the health service but boosters must take priority:

People aged 40 and over can now register for a booster jab here.
