Minister hopeful for future
The Infrastructure Minister says the Douglas Horse Trams could ultimately break even.
A Freedom of Information request revealed the service had made a loss of almost half a million pounds in 2017.
However if you remove the capital costs of purchasing assets from Douglas Borough Council, who ran the trams until 2016, Ray Harmer MHK says the running costs were closer to a third of that figure.
And he's hopeful for the future of the service.
