Hospital patients with Covid-19 'accurately reflected'

DHSC dismisses social media claims

The number of people in hospital with Covid-19 is 'accurately reflected' in statistics published by government.

The Department of Health and Social Care has hit back at what it's described as an 'incorrect' social media post which claims a patient with the virus hasn't been included in the data.

There are currently 18 people in hospital with Coronavirus – two of which are in intensive care.

Minister David Ashford has confirmed Noble's Hospital has capacity to treat 30 patients with Covid.

The DHSC says all patients currently in the hospital, who are receiving treatment for Coronavirus, are reported 'accurately' in the data on the dashboard.
