Commissioner says footfall 'vital' for the area
It's hoped hosting a popular cycling event next summer could have 'fabulous' benefits for Castletown.
That's according to a local commissioner as the ancient capital is set to host the 2023 Zurich Lighthouses Challenge from 1-2 July.
Colin Leather MBE says the local authority is 'pleased and honoured' to welcome the event to the area.
He adds such occasions can benefit not just those involved in the event, but the wider economy in the town:
