There's a chance to go hunting for aliens on the Island next weekend (21st Sept) - marine aliens that is!
The Manx Wildlife Trust and the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture are inviting members of the public to get involved with helping to protect the Island's only Marine nature reserve off the north coast of the Island.
Volunteers are are being asked to help look for two specific non-native species of shellfish around the stone piers in Ramsey harbour
No previous experience is necessary, but waterproofs and wellies are essential!
Marine Officer at the Manx Wildlife Trust, Eleanor Stone, says they will be looking for two species in particular - Darwin's barnacle and the Pacific Oyster which has come from Japan .
The survey again is on Saturday 21st September at 5.30 at the Royal George Hotel in Ramsey. If you're interested you can email Eleanor on eleanor@manxwt.org.uk
