Treasury Minister sticks to his guns
The Island's Treasury Minister insists it was right to sack the chairman of the Isle of Man Post Office because he was against corporatisation.
Eddie Teare MHK faced a barrage of questions in the House of Keys about Graham Cregeen's removal from the board.
Mr Teare told members it was because of Mr Cregeen's opposition to the plan to change the Post Office from a statutory board to a private company, despite Tynwald overturning the proposals.
Mr Cregeen himself took to the floor to query Mr Teare:
Main road between Peel and Douglas to shut for tree felling
'Targeted and intelligence led approach' to protect Island's borders during Irish sailings
Airport Director role advertised with top salary of £120,000
