Ice has been causing havoc on the Island's roads today.
The Mountain road has been closed from the Hairpin to the Creg ny Baa until further notice.
The Department of Infrastructure took the decision on safety grounds, due to ice on the road.
There were a series of accidents first thing this morning, in Santon, Malew and Maughold.
One person was injured when a car span off the Ballamodha Straight, and the scene had to be cleared by sweepers.
Gritters have been out, but there are stretches of black ice around the Island, so the advice is to take extra care.
