Pupils get back to nature with log classroom
Al fresco learning is on the menu at an Island primary school, with the opening of a brand new log cabin classroom.
Dhoon School unveiled the facility, along with a new artificial grass area, earlier this week - officially named 'Balla Childher' or 'a Place for Children'.
It will give children a chance to learn about the local countryside, natural sciences, wildlife, flora and fauna in a real-life environment.
Teachers are also planning to open it up for community pursuits outside of school hours.
