Group tries to find way ahead for waste disposal
Local authority members from around the Island have come together this afternoon (Wed) to discuss the way ahead for disposing of the Island’s waste.
A Waste Management Group comprising local and central government representatives and officers has been formed.
It’s keen that ratepayers are charged a fair and equitable fee over the next decade and beyond.
Charges have previously been heavily subsidised by central government.
The meeting is being chaired by Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne.
