Increase in number of patients transferred to UK

But Manx Care CEO says relationship with off-Island trauma centres has worked well

More patients have been transferred to hospitals in the UK during this TT than in previous years.

Manx Care's Chief Executive Teresa Cope told Manx Radio Motorsport 10 individuals have needed treatment in trauma centres across since the start of the racing fortnight.

Services such as the coastguard, Great North Air Ambulance Service and fixed wing air ambulance are used to transport patients to facilities in the UK.

Despite the increase in numbers, Ms Cope says the relationship with UK hospitals has worked well:
