
New figures from the government show inflation dropped slightly in February.
The Treasury says the Retail Prices Index fell from 3.1 per cent in January to 2.9 per cent in February.
Over the same period, the Consumer Prices Index also fell – from two per cent down to 1.8.
The data shows the biggest rises over the month came in catering, household services, and leisure goods.
