Hopes more children will now walk or cycle to school
The Infrastructure Minister has been defending his department's decision to increase bus fares for school children.
The DoI announced a 10p rise per journey earlier this month.
In the House of Keys this morning, Ray Harmer was accused of introducing a stealth tax, while some members raised concerns that the decision could mean more parents drive their kids to school.
However, he hopes this move will mean more children walk and cycle to school:
