Coastguard teams and lifeboat called out to incident
A young boy who had fallen and reportedly broken his ankle near Niarbyl had to be rescued on Friday afternoon.
Peel Coastguard, Port Erin Coastguard and Port Erin Lifeboat were all called out to attend White Beach just before 2pm.
Paramedics treated the boy initially.
The lifeboat stood by as support, as both coastguard teams then worked to stretcher the casualty to their vehicle.
Once safely secured inside it, the boy was driven off the beach and through the fields back to an awaiting ambulance, which took him to hospital.
