Inquest into popular tattooist's death adjourned

Tributes also paid on social media

An inquest into the death of a well-known local tattoo artist has been opened and adjourned.

David Henry Howarth, who was 42 and from Onchan, died a week ago at Nobles Hospital after being found unconscious by his girlfriend.

He was found to have suffered a head injury, and had a known heart condition - but the exact cause of death has yet to be established.

Tributes to a popular 'crazy man' with a 'heart of gold' have since poured in on social media.

Coroner John Needham adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed, and allowed the body to be released so that funeral arrangements can be made.
