Minister hears ideas for unused site
Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly says he’s optimistic a new use can be found for the Port Erin Marine Labs.
It’s after his department received four expressions of interest for the site, which has lain unused since Liverpool University closed the facility in 2006.
Mr Skelly says his department’s been contacted by both off and on-Island organisations with leisure, business and educational ideas.
But he says these are the earliest stages of getting a project going:
Bus dispute ‘a considerable way apart’ as talks continue, says infrastructure minister
Noble's bed capacity exceeding industry-recognised 'safe levels'
Government monitoring Middle East conflict with “great concern”, says chief minister
Lord Street Development will bring jobs and a renewed sense of pride
